Sherri Greenbach, President and Founder
Sherri Greenbach launched Social Dividends with a strong belief that creating better returns on philanthropic investments is the key to a better society. Non-profit organizations yield higher returns when they invest in their capacity to fulfill their mission.
Sherri and her team work with organizations to help them create strategic development, marketing and organizational plans, as well as training their board of directors and coaching their executive staff.
Social Dividends works with philanthropists and foundations to create deliberate giving plans that result in one’s ability to make a deeper impact on specific issues.
Sherri Greenbach has over 25 years of experience as a non-profit funder, fundraiser, and executive director. Having gained an in-depth understanding of what it takes to grow a non-profit organization, Sherri decided to apply her skills, energy and creativity to consulting with an array of clients.
Since founding Social Dividends in 2008, Sherri has helped her clients surpass their fundraising goals, in one case by as much as 4x. She has also trained new executives to successfully put their visions into action and transformed governance boards into active fundraising boards. She regularly trains and reinvigorates staff and board members through workshops, seminars, and retreats that renew people’s passion for the work of doing good and provides them with crucial tools in their non-profit tool box.
Originally from northern California, Sherri developed her belief in social justice at a young age. Her summers at a progressive summer camp instilled values of activism, social justice, and personal responsibility. She received a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University in sociology with a minor in history. She then moved east where she earned her master’s degree in Social Work from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
Sherri lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter.
